About Acoustic Oz (VIC)

AcousticOz is a tribute to the greats of Oz pop rock over the last 40 years. Played on acoustic guitars, with harmonica, stomp box, flute, and professionally recorded backing tracks, AcousticOz brings out the melodies and harmonies that have become the soundtrack of our lives growing up in this Great Southern Land, (and yes, they sing that one).

Jason has written an produced several albums, and has performed live nationally and overseas.  His song “Weekend Away” which features Steve on harmonica, won the ABC's national song competition “I Wanna Play Apollo Bay” and scored the boys a support for the Russell Morris/Brian Cadd show.  Other support gigs include Renee' Geyer and Jo Camilleri.  He is also the lead singer in The J Band, a covers trio playing around Geelong, the Bellarine and Gold Coast for the past decade.  The J Band also play many of the classic Aussie covers.

Flute Option:  Acoustic Oz can also be a Duo with a female flutist & backing vocals, or as a Trio with Jason & Steve. For larger stage gigs such as festivals, AcousticOz can expand to a 5 piece outfit including bass and drums.
