Since those early days Joel's showmanship has matured and taken him around Australia and the world, where he has appeared, in his own right: As the Australian Representative at Disney World Florida for The Millennium Dreamers Awards: Featured Guest Artist at the Riviera Hotel, Las Vegas in The Stars of Tomorrow Show: Featured Act on 'The Gala Show at the Adelaide Magic Convention, where he also won both the Junior Close-up and Open Stage Competitions: Also a guest act at The Australian Centenary Magic Convention: Special Guest in 'The World Festival of Magic' Show.
In proving himself as a serious and talented magician he has earned the respect of the magicians' fraternity, both at home and internationally.In past years JD has been the subject of an award winning documentary, the inspiration behind a song for the Sing NSW Choir & Department of Education. The CD pays tribute to several young people from different walks of life and is called 'Young Australian's Voices of Achievement'
More recently Joel had the honour of being included in a book published to commemerate the 100 year anniversay of Australian Magic. The book titled 'Deceptions Down Under' acknowledges past and present great Australian Magicians
