Natalie Cook OAM OLY has become the first Australian woman to compete at five Olympic Games: from 1996 Atlanta to 2012 London Games. Few athletes can boast of even coming close to this incredible achievement. Her proudest moment of course winning Gold on Bondi in 2000!
Since retiring, Natalie has written a book, become a proud mum and wife. She was also part of the successful team who lobbied to get Beach Volleyball into the 2018 Commonwealth Games and most recently a part of team Brisbane 2032!
Today, Natalie is one of the world’s most sought after inspirational speakers and is passionate with helping others all around the world to chase their own Olympic size dreams and goals.
Natalie is currently the President of the Queensland Olympic Council and recently joined the Queensland Academy of Sport as Executive Director of Elite Success and Partnerships. In this role with the QAS, Natalie is seen as the ambassador for athletes and an inspiration for the next generation of Olympians. This role also complements the Activate! Queensland 2019-2029, the State’s first 10-year strategy to help make physical activity a way of life for more Queenslanders.
