Nominated in the 2012 Internationally Independent Music Awards, Bec is representing little baby Brisbane amongst a list of American finalists. Nominated and highly commended 5 times for the Q Song Awards across the last 3 years, there is no question of her ability to pen a tune. Bec took out the winning song for her track 'Holy Love' and came close with her highly commended 'Sensation', both of which feature on the EP 'At First Sight'. 'Holy Love' also received international marketing interest one of Germany's biggest phone companies.
Released in October 2010 her latest EP 'At First Sight' was laid down at 301 Studios Byron Bay with Producer/Engineer Anthony Lycenko (Pete Murray, Cold Chisel, George). Mastered in New York by Tom Coyne (Maxwell) at Sterling Sound the recording features a too hot to trot 10-piece suite. Also involved in the production and featuring on the song 'Loop de Loop' are the Spacifix, award winning funk/soul/reggae band from New Zealand. A new EP is in the works, recording in Melbourne with Michael Parisi and Jan Skubiszewski – The Way of the Eagle (The Cat Empire, Phrase, Bliss n Eso). The EP will feature some hot female collaboration featuring Ni.Na aka Madame Pearl and Miss Rachel Everett-Jones.
The budding songbird featured on ABC radio, Triple J and landed #5 most played album on 4ZZZ. She recently featured in the Spiegeltent for Brisbane Festival alongside her beloved Kimbra and at the Brisbane Powerhouse for the annual 2High Festival. She has supported international R&B act Zhane, James Blundell, The Rooftops and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. All over Channel 9 & 10 for her Brisbane Festival Performances, as well as Channel 9 again for the Lighting of the Lord Mayor's Christmas Tree, Bec was also voted most popular performance on Balcony TV.
