About Brendan Jones

Brendan Jones Born 3-4-68 in Sutherland Hospital Sydney. Went to a few schools, including a poncy boarding one. After that there was art school for a couple of years. Learnt to paint fat old people in the nude. Art wasn’t to be, so a rich trail of jobs followed: sign-maker, outboard motor wrecker, truck driver, sewer worker, panel beater, kitchen hand, club dj. In between Blah and Blah, Community radio beckoned with 2BCR Bankstown for six months. His big radio break came in 1990 with a night job at 6KA Karratha, followed by mornings and afternoons at 2NM Muswellbrook. Then came afternoons at i98FM Wollongong, late nights on B105 Brisbane, afternoons with 4MMM Brisbane and 2MMM Sydney afternoons and then mornings.

Brendan has also hosted a national countdown show, Planet Rock, and currently co-hosts WSFM Sydney’s morning show, Breakfast with Jonesy and Amanda Keller. Brendan has won three Radio Awards and been nominated for six, including three for Best On-Air Radio Team.

Brendan also does a bit of TV. From Joker Poker on Channel 10 to a regular spot on Mornings with Kerri-Anne . He also hosts “Off the record” on the World Movies channel. Brendan writes a monthly column for Live to Ride magazine.
