Gorgi Coghlan is a well-recognised and popular media personality. Her extensive experience with live reports and bulletins throughout her career gives her an edge when hosting an event. Gorgi is a regular panellist on Network Ten’s “The Project” and well known as co-host of the Logie Award-winning morning program “The Circle” on Channel Ten. Her diverse experience in news, current affairs, musical theatre, and live performing made her the perfect co-host for the show.
With a background in media, journalism, travel, entertainment, science, education, and professional singing, Gorgi is one of the most well-rounded television presenters in the industry. She was the Melbourne reporter and travel presenter for The Today Show on the Nine Network for four years, a presenter and host on Holidays for Sale, and on the Victorian travel show Postcards. In 2009, Gorgi presented on Channel 7’s lifestyle show ‘Guide to the Good Life,’ where she filmed lifestyle stories around Australia and overseas. In 2010, Gorgi also worked as a co-creator, writer, and producer on ‘thetest.com.au,' a national online health test for all Australians, which had more than 90,000 members across Australia and was one of the most successful online health tests ever conducted.
Gorgi holds a Bachelor of Science (majoring in pharmacology and zoology) and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) specialising in biology and science, both from Monash University. She taught four years of secondary college from 1999 to 2003 and managed and coordinated 240 students at year levels 9, 10, and V.C.E. Her teaching responsibilities included Year 12 Biology, Year 11 Biology, Years 7-10 Science, and Forensic Science. She is an accomplished and classically trained singer and professional stage performer, having delighted viewers with performances on the prestigious Channel 9 CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT and other musical shows. Gorgi is also an ambassador for several organisations, including The Langham (Melbourne), BOSA, Ronald McDonald House (Parkville, Melbourne), and Vision Australia. Gorgi grew up in Warrnambool, Victoria, on a sheep farm and is a former state-level equestrian competitor in eventing and dressage.
