Jamila Gordon is the Founder and CEO of Lumachain and a Global Ambassador of the International Women's Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation. Her impressive career includes roles such as Global Delivery Program Executive at IBM, Group Chief Information Officer at QANTAS, and Non-Executive Director & Global Chief Information Officer at Get Swift. She currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for VentureCrowd and a Non-Executive Director of Jayride.
Born in Somalia, Jamila fled to Australia via Kenya due to the Somali Civil War. Her journey to safety was facilitated by an Australian backpacker who sponsored her, allowing her to start anew in Australia. She pursued her education at La Trobe University's Bendigo campus, where she earned a Bachelor of Business (Information Technology) and became a member of the Class of 1995. Jamila's dedication and hard work in IT were recognised with the La Trobe University Distinguished Alumni Award in 2008.
