Jean Kittson AM is a prominent figure in Australia, known for her versatile career spanning authorship, public speaking, acting, and comedy.
Her journey into the national spotlight began with appearances on ABC TV’s 'The Big Gig', followed by roles in shows like Let the Blood Run Free, Kittson Fahey, Good News Week, The Glasshouse, Flat Chat, The Einstein Factor, and numerous comedy debates across ABC, Channel 9, and Channel 10. She was a founding Director of the National Cord Blood Bank, served as the inaugural chair of the Australian Gynaecological Cancer Foundation (AGCF), and remains a founding Ambassador for Ovarian Cancer Australia. She currently holds the positions of Patron of Palliative Care Nurses Australia and Ambassador for the Macular Disease Foundation, the Australian Gynaecological Foundation, the Raise Foundation, and Taldumande Youth Services.
Jean Kittson’s dedication and contributions to society were recognized in 2023 when she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
