He is recognised as one of Australia’s most well-travelled comedians, having entertained audiences in comedy clubs across the USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
His festival credits span prestigious events such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (1996, 1997), the Adelaide Fringe Festival (2000, 2002, 2004, 2006-2011, 2017), and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (1998, 2002-2017). Fun Fact: Lehmo once held the Guinness World Record for the most jokes told in an hour (549).
Lehmo is also celebrated as Australia’s premier ‘combat comic’, having completed seven tours entertaining troops abroad, akin to legends like Bob Hope and Steve Martin. His performances have taken him to military bases worldwide and even aboard several naval ships.
As a polished and experienced presenter, Lehmo has entertained at numerous corporate events across Australia and Southeast Asia, including AGMs, team bonding days, Christmas dinners, and conferences. With a background as a chartered accountant, Lehmo understands corporate environments intimately and has successfully integrated humour into these settings, including his festival hit, “Taxing Lyrical”.
In radio, Lehmo has left his mark hosting top-rated shows such as Gold 104.3’s breakfast show with Jo Stanley, finishing as Melbourne’s number 1 FM breakfast show. His career includes stints at Mix FM Melbourne, the national drive show on Triple M with Wil Anderson, and SAFM’s breakfast show, Bec, Cosi, and Lehmo. In 2023, Lehmo joined Dead Set Legends on Triple M, continuing his influential presence in the industry.
On television, Lehmo has showcased his wit as an original panellist on Network 10’s The Project and as host of the AFL comedy quiz show, The Beep Test on Fox Sports. He also co-hosted the popular AFL program Before The Game for 11 years, earning multiple Logie nominations for best sports show.
