About Mel Buttle

Her first ever comedy show in 2001, led to Mel becoming the talk of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival even rewarding her a nomination for Best Newcomer. Since then, Mel has continued to take her comedy all over the country, appearing at all of the major comedy festivals.

Mel has been heard across Australian radios with 'Mel’s Strongly Worded Letters' which was a regular segment on triple j Breakfast. You also may have heard her as a regular guest on ABC Brisbane and on various networks across the country.

Australia has seen Mel on their television screens with appearances on Network Ten’s The Project and as a weekly guest on This Week Live, ABC TV’s Tractor Monkeys, Back Seat Drivers and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering. One of her proudest achievements to date has been to score three tweets on ABC TV’s Q&A in three straight weeks.
