About Mel Buttle

In 2001, Mel debuted her first comedy show, catapulting her into the spotlight at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and earning her a nomination for Best Newcomer. Since then, Mel has toured extensively across Australia, performing at all the major comedy festivals.

Mel's distinctive voice has resonated on Australian airwaves through 'Mel’s Strongly Worded Letters,' a popular segment on triple j Breakfast. She has also been a regular guest on ABC Brisbane and featured on various networks nationwide.

Television audiences have enjoyed Mel's presence on Network Ten's The Project, as a weekly guest on This Week Live, and on ABC TV's Tractor Monkeys, Back Seat Drivers, and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering. A standout accomplishment for Mel was scoring three tweets featured on ABC TV’s Q&A over three consecutive weeks.
