By the end of 2009 she considered on giving up music because her career was not going towards the direction she wanted it to. Determined to get her music career up and running again, she contacted songwriter Billy Mann who had work with and endless list of famous pop singers (Pink, Anastacia, Sting, Backstreet Boys). After contacting Mann by email, the songwriter invited Coulter to his studio in New York City and after this he stated producing her new album, this music defined her sound and musical career. Mann made arrangements for her to work at his studio with BOYBLUE, testing her talent. After only one day of working together Billy Mann was impressed with Ricki’s musical skills, he worked exclusively with her over that week creating what would be the most iconic single “Raining diamonds”. She earned her first ARIA Music Award with this album and also got a nomination for Song of the Year. In 2014 she released her fourth album called “Dance in the Rain”, she participated in season six and seven of Australian Idol as a presenter. This granted her a nomination at the Logie Awards for “Most Popular Female Talent”. Later she became a full time radio presenter. As a model she participated as an Ambassador for the Australian Clothing Brand Hold Me Tight, she was also the face of Cover Girl Makeup.
