Rove McManus launched his entertainment career as a stand-up comedian and has since risen to become Australia’s foremost talk show host and a prolific producer of entertainment television.
His eponymous television show debuted on Nine in 1999, then reemerged on Ten a year later, marking the start of a new millennium with interviews featuring global icons such as Cameron Diaz, John Travolta, Drew Barrymore, Matt Damon, The Duchess of York, and U2.
Rove Live earned Rove three Gold Logie awards, Australia’s most prestigious television accolade for Most Popular Personality. His production company, Roving Enterprises, has produced multiple scripted and sports comedy series, as well as the ARIA Awards, which Rove has hosted three times. Roving Enterprises is also the creative force behind the influential daily news program, The Project, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2019.
In 2018 and 2019, Rove hosted Show Me The Movie!, a film culture quiz for Network Ten, and piloted his return to the talk show format with Bring Back Saturday Night, slated for a series return in 2019. Additionally, Rove created and hosted Whovians, a talk show dedicated to fans of Doctor Who (ABC).
Returning to his artistic roots, Rove is set to illustrate two new books for kids with Scholastic in 2019: Disgusting McGrossface, a picture book, and Rocky Lobstar, a series for older readers.
