In 2002, one of her demos was sent by a friend to a music producer in Los Angeles (USA), the following year she landed a contract with Jive Records, this same year she co-wrote the song “Secret Love”. This track was later performed by pop star JoJo, the song was part of the soundtrack for the 2004 movie Shark Tale. Samantha recorded “Step Up” in 2006 for the dance film Step Up, this song was written by Diane Warren and produced by rapper, singer, producer Wyclef Jean. In 2007, she released a single called “Turn Around”, this song became the lead track of her debut album, reaching number 83 on the ARIA Singles Chart. That same year she co-wrote the song “Positivity” for Ashley Tisdale. In 2010 she made her debut as an actress in the movie Beneath the Blue. At late 2012 her debut single “What you’ve done to me” was number one on the ARIA Singles Chart, this same year she became the winner of the Australian edition of X-Factor in their 4th season. In 2013 she decided to Tour around Australia, reconnecting with her audience, this experience allowed her to star writing a new album that include the song “Firestarter”. Earlier in 2016 she captured Australian’s attention again when she played iconic pop singer Kylie Minogue in the TV mini/series based on the story of the band INXS called “Never tear us apart”.
