Elle believes the reason behind the blogs success is the duo’s uniqueness, “the blog is a really great edit of what we are and what we love. Our readers can take inspiration and find things they like from the both of us.” Every month the They All Hate Us Style Shop gives readers the ability to buy what Tash & Elle are wearing, “we edit down the world of fashion to the 10 lust worthy pieces we love, have bought and live in and make them available for immediate purchase.”

Tash is one of those women, other women look at, and wonder “How does she do it?” Themother-of-2 has crafted a dream job for herself, and always manages to look impeccable, with her signature understated and unfussy style. She is the epitome of the modern business women, and living proof that you can have it all…if you work really, really hard.

Tash studied fashion design, but was always more interested in the business side of fashion. After graduating she worked in product development spending a lot of time in China sourcing labels, spotting trends and producing samples . Tash’s next move was to General Pants, where she developed vertical labels, such as Arvust, Neon Hart by Jess Hart and Don’t Ask Amanda... She managed a team of Production people, Buyers and Product Development talent, and was instrumental in growing that part of the business into a multi-million dollar empire.

Tash was promoted to Head of Women's wear, and became a member of the executive team, where she was responsible for all branded and vertical buying and sourcing. This role saw Tash spending 3-4 months of the year travelling overseas. She would develop the trends she saw into marketing plans and hand them to Elle to create her magic in store!

After her second child came along, Tash decided she needed to make her work, work for her. By then, “They all Hate Us” had grown beyond a hobby into a really sound business prospect, so Tash took the leap and left her job to work with her best friend.

How do you go from drama student to fashion savvy business woman and style icon in 7 not-so easy steps? Just ask Elle Ferguson Co-Founder of online fashion destination “They All Hate Us.” Elle has always had a creative flair; she attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, majoring in Drama. After graduating, she got herself an agent and enjoyed a successful career as a model.

Fashion shoots and TV didn’t satisfy Elle’s thirst for more, and so she went on to study Interior Design at Enmore Design Centre, where she was ranked first in her year. Elle’s eye for design won her the role of Australian Visual Merchandiser for ‘One Teaspoon’, this role included designing and installing the concept areas throughout David Jones nationally. She also designed and set up their concept stores in Perth and Sydney.

Following One Teaspoon, Elle became the National Women's wear Visual Merchandiser for the General Pants Group. Elle stayed at General Pants for just over six years where she was responsible for styling, training, store design and many facets of bringing the General Pants Culture to life.

Elle left the General Pants Group to become the Global Visual Merchandising manager for the Seafolly Group where she was involved in designing the retail spaces for Seafolly across the globe. Then, in mid-2012, Elle decided to reach for something more, she backed herself, followed her dreams and started up a business with her best friend. TAHU was born.
