Ann Sanders launched her broadcasting career at SAS-7 in Adelaide as a weather presenter before transitioning to Seven Perth, where she won back-to-back Logie Awards for Most Popular Female Personality in Western Australia in 1981 and 1982. In 1983, she moved to Sydney to join Network Ten as a consumer reporter and news presenter, before returning to the Seven Network as a news presenter in 1988.
In 1990, Sanders joined the national morning news program 11AM and travelled to Chernobyl to report on the radiation fallout disaster. She began presenting the weeknight edition of Seven News Sydney in 1995, co-anchoring with Ross Symonds starting in 1998 until she moved to weekends in 2004. In May 2006, she swapped roles with Chris Bath to present Seven Morning News.
Sanders has also covered Federal and State elections and the Sydney Olympics in 2000 for Seven News. She frequently serves as a fill-in presenter on Seven Afternoon News and has occasionally filled in for Natalie Barr on Sunrise.
Articulate and professional, Ann is highly respected as a news presenter while her appeal for the corporate audience sees her well placed for Gala Dinners and Awards Nights.
