Anne Fulwood is one of Australian television’s best-known and most respected journalists and hosts. Currently host of Channel 7’s Late News, Anne is an engaging and entertaining speaker whose topics range from foreign & current affairs, business, politics, conservation and environment, sport, the wine industry and the media.
Born and educated in South Australia, Anne joined Channel 7 in the mid-80s before moving to Channel Ten in Sydney. In 1991 she became the founding host of Channel 10’s Late News, which established not only a new time slot for evening news, but was instrumental in changing Australia’s late night viewing patterns. Five years later, having established an audience and presence, Anne was invited back to Channel 7 where she hosted the daytime current affairs program 11 AM before moving to the Late News.
A keen sportswoman, Anne has hosted both Commonwealth and Olympic Games. In 1994, she hosted Channel Ten's Commonwealth Games coverage which won the coveted Logie Award and a People's Choice Award. In 1996, she covered the Atlanta Olympics for Channel 7, which proved a highlight of her career.
