Cameron Williams is the charismatic sports anchor for National Nine News Sydney and a sought-after MC and presenter in the corporate world. Hailing from Emerald, Queensland, Cameron began his journalism career in 1984 as a cadet at the Courier Mail in Brisbane. He soon moved to The Australian, where he specialised in sports features and columns, before joining the Seven Network in 1988.
At Seven, Cameron not only presented the news but also hosted Sportsworld and provided memorable coverage of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, where he called Matt Ryan’s double equestrian gold for Australia. In 1996, he became the face of Fox Sports, anchoring a wide array of major sports events, including NRL on Fox, the Dally M Awards, Super 12 Rugby, Wimbledon, and the Winter Olympics.
In 2006, Cameron joined Channel Nine’s Today Show, where he covered horse racing, contributed guest reports to 60 Minutes, and led the network’s coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010 and the London Olympics in 2012. He also reported on the 2010 Queensland flood crisis alongside Karl Stefanovic.
After a decade with Nine, Cameron took over as the sports presenter for Nine News Sydney, succeeding Ken Sutcliffe, while continuing to fill in on the Today Show. In his personal life, Cameron enjoys spending quality time with his wife Natasha and their two children, Arkie and Remy.
