Carrie Bickmore OAM has been a prominent figure in Australian media since 2009, co-hosting Network Ten's The Project. Her career has taken her around the world, covering major events such as the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in New York and interviewing celebrities like Brad Pitt and Sarah Jessica Parker. Carrie’s engaging presence also includes memorable moments like falling over live on air.
Her work has earned her significant accolades, including the TV Week Logie Award for Best New Talent in 2010, the Silver Logie for Best Presenter in 2015, and the Gold Logie for Most Popular Person on Television. She has used her platform to raise awareness for brain cancer, notably through her Beanies 4 Brain Cancer campaign, which has raised over $17 million.
In addition to her television career, Carrie returned to radio in 2017 with Carrie & Tommy on the SCA Network. Before The Project, she was a key member of Rove and a top rating breakfast radio team with Nova FM.
Carrie is also a dedicated mother of three—Ollie, Evie, and Adelaide—and enjoys staying active through dance, pilates, and outdoor activities with her children. She is involved in various charitable activities, serving as the Australian ambassador for UNICEF and managing her own charity, Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer.
In recognition of her contributions to media and brain cancer awareness, Carrie was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours.
