Australian-born Cody Simpson is a true multi-hyphenate guitarist, singer, songwriter, performing artist, published poet, theatrical star, environmental activist and athlete.
As a pre-teen, Cody Simpson began to record songs in his bedroom and post them on YouTube, these clips quickly garnered millions of views and led him to a deal with Atlantic Records which he signed in New York City on his 13th Birthday. Emigrating to the U S with his family, his debut single, iYiYi featuring rapper Flo Rida, broke into the Top 20 in Australia He went on to create two Eps, ‘4 U’, and ‘Coast to Coast’ and in the wake of his first full-length album, the next year saw his second, ‘Surfer’s Paradise’.
It cracked the top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 and led to Simpson signing with Scooter Braun and touring with Justin Bieber in the US Europe and Australia. In 2015, he launched his own label, Coast House Records, and released a third studio album. He had a successful stint with his band from 2017-2019 touring as a trio across the US and released highly successful singles “Golden Thing” and “Captain’s Dance with the Devil” in 2020. Continuing his passion for music, he recently released ‘Nice to Meet You’ and ‘Let Go’, in the lead up to his self-titled and first album in six years.
For years, his Down Under charm and talents have earned numerous honours including three Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, an MTV Europe Music Award and a Young Hollywood Award, as well as being named among GQ’s Men of the Year and winner of The Masked Singer Australia.
He is now an avid surfer and lover of the outdoors and was named the first United Nations Development Programme advocate. With his participation in the UN’s World Oceans Day and other initiatives, he has been a strong voice for environmental responsibility.

Cody is making international headlines for his stunning return to swimming Cody qualified for the finals of the 100 m butterfly and won a gold and silver medal for his heat swims in the 4 x 100 m freestyle relay and the 4 x 100 medley relay respectively at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
