Darryl attended Wavell High School in Brisbane and graduated in 1973. He went on to join the NRL where he made 114 first grade appearances with Penrith and Canterbury – winning a premiership with the Bulldogs in the mid 80s.
He also represented Queensland in two State of Origin games and was considered unlucky not to have represented Australia.
While Darryl is best known for his outgoing personality, he is also considered to have one of the sharpest brains in football. Like Laurie Daley, Brohman is also happy to assist mentoring young players within the company.
