About Dawn Ho

She left her job as a flight stewardess for Singapore Airlines in 2003 to commit her time and energy into singing full-time, engaged vocal trainer Babes Conde (Philippines/Singapore) for jazz and pop vocal lessons and hasn't looked back since. Her hunger to understand and better execute her craft led her to New York for classes with Tania Travers and the legendary Barry Harris in 2006, Summer shot at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles in 2011. She also attended a Master class with Grammy award winning jazz vocalist, Kurt Elling. And is currently pursuing her BA HONS in Jazz Performance at Lasalle College of the Arts. Dawn has sung in several music festivals and events such as The Mosaic Music Festival at the Esplanade, in 2005,2006 and 2007, 2014, KL Youth Jazz Festival (Malaysia), Tai Chung Jazz Festival (Taiwan), World Youth Olympic Games (Singapore), Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, Singapore Audi Fashion Festival, Singapore night music festival, Zouk Out, Formula One Grand Pree, SingJazz Music Festival. Dawn has been featured in radio interviews on News radio 93.8 FM, Gold 90.5 FM, Lush 99.5FM and the RSI English channel. Magazine and newspaper write-ups include articles in NEWMAN, ELLE, THE STRAITS TIMES, LIME and STUFF MAGAZINE. She is also no stranger to the high profile corporate events scene which include clients such as Tiffany & Co., Guess, Yafriro Watches, Cortina Watches, Lamborghini and DKNY, Mercedes, BMW, Philosphy, Vacheron Constantin, DBS Bank, UOB Bank, Choya, Starbucks, Visa, Citibank Gold, Tatler Magazine, ASEAN Minister Conference to name a few. Dawn released her debut album titled "ALL IN GOOD TIME" in 2009. Available on amazon.com and cdbaby.com. This album sees her performing exciting covers of jazz classics from Thelonious Monk, Cole Porter, Cannonball Adderley as well as Brazilian classics from the likes of Antonio Carlos Jobim and Maria Rita, with Paraguayan Band, The Shadows Of Paraguay. It also features 2 track remixes done by producers Kaye and Munir Alsagoff(Alter Copy). This anticipated release has gotten the support of Singapore's radio stations, one of which is Electronica / Nu-Jazz radio station Lush 99.5fm. She is currently planning the release of her 2nd album and working with Brazilian Electro project band, INDIGO and her genre eclectic project, SxM Sextet, whilst returning to school again to pursue her degree in Jazz Performance.
