Kate Collins, a proud South Australian native, has established herself as a trusted and admired newsreader in Adelaide. Born and raised in Adelaide, Kate completed a Bachelor of Media at Adelaide University in 2005 and a postgraduate Diploma in Journalism at the University of South Australia in 2006. During her studies, she began her career as a weekend newsreader at Austereo before transitioning to television, joining the Nine News team as a general reporter.
Currently, Kate presents the weekday edition of Adelaide’s Nine News, where she has quickly become a favourite among viewers for her professionalism and reliability. In addition to her news presenting duties, Kate is an accomplished Master of Ceremonies, frequently invited to host high-profile events in Adelaide. Some of her past engagements include the Women In Management Breakfast, International Wheelchair Day Event, HIA – South Australian Housing Awards, Myer Events, and Westfield Events.
