About Luke Jacobz (NSW)

Luke Jacobz was born in Sydney in 1981. Growing up in the suburbs and attending Crestwood Primary and Crestwood High School, Luke showed an interest in sports and performing arts at an early age and had an agent by his early teens. After appearing in several commercials and guest roles, when he turned 17 Luke gave up a plumbing apprenticeship for his life-long ambition of being an actor and landed his full-time acting gig as Zac Croft in the ABC's Heart Break High.

Having the gift of the gab scored him a job as a promotional representative for the Pepsi Taste Challenge campaign in the summer of 1999-2000, which led him to the hosting role on the children's show Big Arvo (Seven). In 2004 Luke hosted Seven's popular Popstarsprogram and co-hosted Iron Man. In 2005 Luke joined the cast of Nine's McLeod's Daughters, playing the role of Patrick Brewer.

Luke won the popular TV celebrity competition Dancing With the Stars (Seven) in 2008 and recently played the role of Angelo Rosetta on Home and Away in which he was nominated for Most Popular Actor at the 2010 Logie Awards.

Nominated for Cleo's Bachelor of the Year in 2009, he is an Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation and an Ambassador for Camp Quality.

Luke is currently the host of Seven's The X Factor Australia.
