His first job on television came in 1992 when he worked as the weekend sports presenter for NBN news. Soon after, Matt settled into a role as a sports presenter for Network Ten, his primary position being the host of Sports Tonight from its inception.
Results speak louder than any résumé can and it was in this role that Matt was integral in the program's enormous success and emergence as Australia's chief nightly sports fix. While at Ten, Matt anchored and covered major sport events such as the V8 Supercars, Formula One Motor Racing, AFL Grand Finals and the Spring Racing Carnival (the Melbourne Cup).
White joined Channel 7 midway through 2004 and has since extended upon his prominence in the Australian sporting media landscape. As well as acting as the sports anchor with Sydney's Seven News, Matt co-hosts the network's flagship sports program Sportsworld and has anchored the 2004 Athens Olympics, 2006 Torino Winter Olympics and the Australian Open Tennis titles.
Matt's wealth of first-class sport presenting experience combines successfully with his genuine love of sport, polished professionalism and on-camera geniality. Matthew White has a long and successful career ahead of him.
