About Matthew White

Matt began his television career in 1992 as the weekend sports presenter for NBN News. Shortly after, he joined Network Ten where he became synonymous with sports broadcasting, notably as the inaugural host of Sports Tonight.

During his tenure at Ten, Matt played a pivotal role in the program's stellar success, becoming Australia's go-to source for nightly sports coverage. His portfolio includes anchoring and reporting on prestigious events such as the V8 Supercars, Formula One Motor Racing, AFL Grand Finals, and the Melbourne Cup.

In 2004, Matt moved to Channel 7, further solidifying his status in Australian sports media. He currently serves as the sports anchor for Seven News in Sydney, co-hosts the network's flagship program Sportsworld, and has anchored major events like the Athens Olympics in 2004, Torino Winter Olympics in 2006, and the Australian Open Tennis Championships.

Combining a wealth of experience with a genuine passion for sports, Matt White exemplifies polished professionalism and affable on-camera presence. His enduring career in sports presenting continues to thrive, marking him as a fixture in Australia's media landscape.
