Ross Greenwood boasts more than 40 years of experience in business and finance journalism, both in Australia and internationally. Formerly the Nine Network’s Business and Finance editor, Ross contributed to National Nine News, A Current Affair, and 60 Minutes. His assignments have taken him across the globe, from Europe and the Middle East to Japan, China, and the U.S.A. Ross also co-hosted the flagship current affairs program Sunday and hosted the radio program Money News on the Macquarie Radio network, including 2GB Sydney, 3AW Melbourne, 4BC Brisbane, 2CC Canberra, and regional stations.
Before joining Nine, Ross was editor-in-chief and co-creator of the British weekly magazine Shares and its website, moneyam.com. In London, he was a regular commentator on BBC television, CNN, Sky News UK, and Bloomberg, and co-hosted BBC Radio Five Live’s business program, Wake Up To Money. He has held editorial roles at BRW, Personal Investor, and The Age’s Money section, and was the founding editor of Australia’s Shares magazine. Ross has also served as chairman of the Investment Committee for the Media industry superannuation fund and as a director of a stock market-listed investment company.
In January 2021, Ross joined SKY News as Business Editor and anchor of the flagship Sunday business program, Business Weekend. In this role, he leads the network’s business coverage, regularly speaking with CEOs, business leaders, regulators, politicians, and business influencers, and providing viewers with market and real estate updates. With his vast knowledge of financial markets and current affairs, Ross is one of Australia’s most respected finance experts and is highly sought after as an MC, host, facilitator, and keynote speaker. Ross resides in Sydney with his wife, Tanya, and son, Mitchell.
