Sonia Kruger is one of Australia’s most beloved and versatile television personalities. As a sought-after presenter, she hosts Seven’s prime time shows including Dancing with the Stars, The Voice, Holey Moley, and Big Brother.
A passionate dancer and wellness advocate, Sonia created the dance-based exercise program Strictly You. She began her dance career at age four in Brisbane, specializing in Ballroom and Latin American dancing. Sonia represented Australia at the Amateur British Ballroom Championships and became the Australian Ballroom, Latin & New Vogue Professional Champion. Her dance talents led her to the role of Tina Sparkle in the acclaimed film Strictly Ballroom, where she also served as a dance coach. She taught at NIDA for over four years, sharing her expertise.
Sonia’s television career includes notable roles as a reporter on Wonder World and appearances in Three Men and A Baby Grand. After completing an Arts degree at Sydney’s University of Technology, she joined Seven’s 11AM as an entertainment reporter, later moving to Today Tonight. She co-hosted 11 seasons of Dancing with the Stars, was a regular on Sunday Night, and hosted The Voice Australia and Big Brother during her time with the Nine Network.
In 2019, Sonia launched Strictly You, a fitness and nutrition program aimed at making dance-based fitness fun and accessible.
She announced her return to the Seven Network in 2020, with CEO James Warburton praising her as "one of the best television talents in Australia", adding "I speak on behalf of the entire Seven team when I say that Sonia was the one that got away".
