TV and radio personality Tim Blackwell co-hosts NOVA’s National Drive show with Kate Ritchie and Marty Sheargold from 4-6 PM every weekday. Tim's radio journey began when he convinced his local Sydney community station to let him on air, and he has since turned his passion into a successful career.
Starting with the Nova Network as a late-night announcer in 2001, Tim was the first voice to launch Perth’s Nova 93.7 FM in 2002, debuting with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He soon returned to Sydney to host the drive show on Nova 96.9 FM. Over the years, Tim has served as a breakfast anchor and co-hosted night, breakfast, and drive shows before settling into the national drive show with Ritchie and Sheargold in 2014.
In addition to radio, Tim frequently appears on Channel Nine’s Mornings, Network Ten’s The Project, and Channel Seven’s Sunrise, and hosts various cooking and travel segments.
A lover of fast cars, loud music, and thrilling sports, Tim has driven in Maserati track days, regularly MCs events for the Hawthorn AFL Club, and hosts festivals and concerts worldwide, including the V Festival with Queens of the Stone Age and Duran Duran. A passionate music enthusiast, Tim has travelled the globe, interviewing some of the biggest names in the music industry for radio and online content.
