He then hosted ABC’s The Fat, which transitioned to 110% Tony Squires on the Seven Network, where he also hosted the Athens Olympic coverage and the One Day Cricket series in England.
Tony has presented sport on Channel Seven’s 6pm News Bulletin, reported for Seven’s Sunday Night program, and co-hosted Sydney radio station Vega 95.3FM’s breakfast show. He has also hosted major events like the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. As a journalist, Tony has been a feature writer, columnist, and section editor at the Sydney Morning Herald, and wrote a popular television column for the Sunday Telegraph. He published his second book, Cracking the Footy Codes, in 2009.
A dedicated supporter of the St George Illawarra Dragons and an ambassador for the Sydney Swans, Tony also delivers a comic Week in Sport segment for the Swans’ highest-valued corporate guests at home games.
