About Topazio
Capoeira Topazio was founded in 1988 by Raimundo dos Santos, known as Mestre Dinho. The group introduced new movements to the capoeira arsenal and stressed the importance of ground fighting and the inclusion of jiu-jitsu in capoeira training. Starting with just five street children, the group has branched out to a number of different cities and countries such as Argentina, Mexico, USA, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Turkey, and Australia and has roughly 15,000 practitioners worldwide.
