About Anton Enus

Anton Enus is an acclaimed broadcast journalist with over two decades of experience across television, radio, and print media, covering international news and current affairs in South Africa and Australia. Currently, he serves as the nightly news anchor for SBS World News Australia.

In South Africa, Anton Enus anchored the major evening national news bulletin for SABC before moving to Australia. Since 1999, he has been a prominent figure at SBS, presenting their news bulletins and special events such as the 2003 Iraq War program and live studio debates like the Cronulla race riots. He also fills in as host for SBS TV’s Insight program.

Anton has chaired significant events including the Unveiling of the Welcome Wall at the National Maritime Museum, the Victorian Premier Gala dinner, and the 2009 Annual Walkley Awards for journalism excellence and Diversity at Work. He has delivered keynote addresses to media students at the University of New England and Monash University’s South Africa campus.

A fixture at the Sydney Writer’s Festival and Adelaide Writer’s Festival, Anton Enus is recognised for his distinctive voice, which was featured in the acclaimed Salvador Dali Liquid Desire exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. He is highly sought-after in corporate circles as an MC, Keynote Speaker, and Facilitator.
