Kate Bracks, winner of MasterChef Australia 2011, has had a lifelong passion for cooking that began in her childhood.
Today, Kate spends most of her time as a celebrity cook, sharing her love for food through recipe writing, cooking demonstrations, public speaking engagements, and teaching children how to cook. Her culinary journey started early, helping her Nanna crumb lamb cutlets and running a pretend restaurant in her dining room for her parents.
Her fascination with cooking led her to pursue work experience in a fine dining restaurant at just fifteen years old.
Kate's success on MasterChef Australia propelled her into the spotlight. Since winning the competition, she has authored her first cookbook, The Sweet Life, and contributed numerous recipes to food festivals and various magazines.
She has conducted cooking demonstrations nationwide, appeared in corporate and fundraising campaigns, and showcased her skills on MasterChef All Stars, The Today Show, and The Circle.
In addition to her television appearances and culinary ventures, Kate has expanded her influence as a public speaker. She has been a celebrity guest at the Bengaluru Marriott Hotel in India, participated in the Noosa Food and Wine Festival, and demonstrated her cooking prowess at The Australian National Field Days.
Locally, Kate is actively involved in promoting Orange's culinary tourism through Taste Orange and supports charitable organizations like FoodCare and Camp Quality Western NSW. She collaborates with renowned chefs and continues to build her Kate Bracks Baking brand, sharing her passion for cooking with a wider audience through catering, judging culinary competitions, and developing her brand.
