Mark Skaife, over a distinguished 22-year career, has amassed exceptional achievements in motorsport, including five Championship titles, six Bathurst 1000 victories, and three Australian Drivers Championships. He also set a record for Round/Race wins, a benchmark that endured well beyond his retirement.
Mark played a pivotal role in the conceptualization and management of the Supercars 'Car of the Future' initiative, which brought in new manufacturers like Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo. He was the first Chairman of the Supercars Commission, serving until the end of 2013.
In recognition of his contributions to Supercars, Mark was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. He is credited with designing several notable Supercars Street circuits, including those in Townsville, Sydney, the revamped layout on the Gold Coast, New Zealand, and the successful Newcastle street circuit.
Since stepping away from competitive racing, Mark has established himself as a commentator and presenter for the Supercar series on both the Seven Network and Fox Sports. His insights continue to be a significant part of the sport, and he is a highly regarded media personality and keynote speaker.
Mark's expertise extends beyond racing, as he advises various companies and motoring organizations on road safety, vehicle dynamics, and driver training. He is currently involved in developing the Brisbane Auto Mall, a premier facility near Brisbane airport that aims to be a landmark in the Australian automotive industry.
Honoured with the Medal of the Order of Australia for his contributions to motor racing and the community, Mark released his autobiography in 2020.
