Natalie Cook OAM OLY holds the remarkable distinction of being the first Australian woman to compete in five Olympic Games, spanning from the 1996 Atlanta Games to the 2012 London Games. This incredible achievement is one that few athletes can claim, with her proudest moment being her Gold medal victory on Bondi Beach in 2000.
Since retiring, Natalie has written a book and embraced her roles as a proud mother and wife. She played a key role in the successful campaign to include Beach Volleyball in the 2018 Commonwealth Games and was recently part of the team for Brisbane 2032.
Today, Natalie is one of the world’s most sought-after inspirational speakers, passionately helping others around the globe to pursue their own Olympic-sized dreams and goals.
Natalie currently serves as the President of the Queensland Olympic Council and recently joined the Queensland Academy of Sport as Executive Director of Elite Success and Partnerships. In this role, she acts as an ambassador for athletes and an inspiration to the next generation of Olympians. This position also aligns with the Activate! Queensland 2019-2029 strategy, the state’s first 10-year plan to make physical activity a way of life for more Queenslanders.
