About One Fire Dance Troupe
One Fire is Melbourne’s leading Indigenous Dance group. The concept behind One Fire is that the dancers are from different parts of Australia but all come together to form that ‘One Fire’.
The One Fire Dance Group has performed Nationally and Internationally including China, New Zealand, Italy and Thailand. They dance for many events, Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations and fundraisers including the AFL Grand final from 2003-2007, The Presidents Cup, The Fred Hollows Foundation, The Peter Brock Foundation and World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education 2005 in New Zealand and the World Indigenous People’s conference in Education in 2008 in Melbourne. They also workshop, provide cultural talks and perform at different schools ranging from pre school through to university.
