Peter Stefanovic is an award-winning journalist, author, and presenter of Sky News' flagship breakfast program, First Edition.
Previously, he spent nearly a decade as a foreign correspondent for the Nine Network, reporting from Los Angeles and London. Stefanovic covered significant events including wars in the Middle East and Europe, terror attacks, natural disasters, and national elections.
After returning to Australia, he reported for 60 Minutes and co-hosted the Today Show before joining Sky News. Beyond his daily show, he also produces documentaries for Sky.
From 2008 to 2015, Stefanovic was based in Nine Network's London and Los Angeles bureaus. He earned a Walkley Award nomination for his 2014 reporting from Gaza during its conflict with Israel. He also covered conflicts in Iraq, the Arab Spring, and various global events like the 2015 Nepal earthquake and the London riots.
Stefanovic has been present for historic moments, such as the toppling of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the Libyan civil war, and the death of Nelson Mandela. He has also reported on the 2008 U.S. presidential election, the Haiti earthquake, and major entertainment events like the Oscars and the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
