Tim Jarvis AM, an environmental scientist and adventurer, dedicates himself to addressing critical environmental challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss. Through expeditions, films, books, and public speaking engagements, he actively encourages thoughtful consideration and practical solutions in these fields.
With over three decades of experience in sustainability, Tim offers strategic guidance on sustainability to government bodies, corporate organizations, and advocacy groups, aiming to drive meaningful environmental action.
He is the founder of The Forktree Project, a native revegetation initiative on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula. Tim also holds significant roles as the Global Ambassador and Governor of WWF, Southern Ocean Ambassador for Save Our Marine Life, and Vice President of Flora and Fauna International.
In recognition of his contributions, Tim Jarvis was awarded the Order of Australia in 2010 for his services to the environment, community, and exploration. He was also honoured as South Australia’s Australian of the Year in 2024, underscoring his ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and advocacy.
