As a performer, Mitchell was cast in the role of Arab at the age of 17 in the 2010 Australian touring production of West Side Story. Since then he has been privileged to have been engaged as a performer with some of Australia’s leading choreographers including Kelley Abbey, The Squared Division, Matt Lee, Cameron Mitchell and Marko Panzic. His screen credits include ABC’s Dance Academy, Channel 7’s The X Factor, YTT, The Voice, Channel 9’s Mornings with Kerri-Anne, So you think you can dance Network 10, The Disney Channel, Top Model and The Face Fox 8. On stage, Mitchell has also had the opportunity to perform with recording artists Kylie Minogue, Kelley Rowland, Ricky Martin, Will.i.Am, Cassie Davis, Delta Goodrem, Joel Madden, Geri Halliwell, Olivia Newton-John and Sneaky Sound System and in 2011 Mitch was given the great opportunity to work with Baz Lurhmann as a featured dancer in his film The Great Gatsby.
Mitchell toured with the the Australasia cast in the Broadway musical Wicked in 2011/2012 and has recently returned from Europe as part of the cast of the International World Tour of West Side Story in the role of Dance Captain and swing.
Since returning home Mitchell has had the pleasure of working along side Naomi Campbell on ‘The Face’ as well as performing at the Launch of ‘So you think you can dance’ and also appearing in the latest television/print promotional material.
Mitchell is thrilled to be currently working with Shine Australia and making his debut as the youngest choreographer on So you think you can dance.
